Andrea Doonan horticulture + design
About
Landscape Designer, Educator, Artist, Certified Arborist.
With 20 years experience in horticulture and design, I create ecological residential landscapes that accommodate both the site and clients' needs, while connecting people and places with nature. Passionate about regenerative and sustainable practices, I strongly encourage them in all my associated projects. I speak regularly on topics ranging from rainwater harvesting to habitat gardening and am involved with APLD, both on the board and via mentorship of emerging professionals. I'm also an instructor for G3 in partnership with the Metropolitan Water District, educating professionals and homeowners about sustainable gardening, design, and watershed wise methodologies. Based in San Diego, I work on projects and collaborations all over California. I'm also active in food, garden, placemaking and art communities - volunteering with local boards & committees. I love giving back while getting involved. Also available for garden art including mosaics, murals, and sculpture.
Collaboration is key... we are all stronger together! Feel free to reach out via my website, IG, or phone/email to collab or just talk plants!
