February General Member Meeting

Description

Join us for our monthly in-person gathering where we provide general BFG updates, meet new members, promote upcoming events and offers, and hear from guest speakers.


This is a closed meeting open only to BFG members. Guests may attend one time.


The entrance to the co-working space is up the stairs on S 21st St between Commercial St. and Julian Ave. There is free street parking around San Diego Made Factory.

About February's Guest Speaker

Council President Pro Tem (CPPT) Kent Lee represents District 6 in the City of San Diego, which includes the neighborhoods of Convoy, Kearny Mesa, Mira Mesa, Miramar, Sorrento Valley, University City, and a portion of Scripps Ranch. Elected in November 2022, CPPT Lee is committed to focusing on the top issues impacting our region, including housing affordability, homelessness, and our community's ongoing infrastructure needs. Currently, CPPT Lee serves as the Chair of San Diego's Land Use and Housing Committee, where he prioritizes policies and issues that encourage housing opportunities for all income levels and the creation of vibrant and resilient communities in San Diego.  

 

Prior to his election, CPPT Lee served his community in various capacities as the non-profit Executive Director of Pacific Arts Movement. His extensive volunteering includes service on the boards of the Mira Mesa Community Planning Group and the Asian Business Association, as well as founding and co-chairing the San Diego API Coalition, a collection of more than 40 API-serving organizations throughout the region that advocates and fosters deeper community collaboration for a more inclusive and equitable San Diego. 

 

He and his wife Phuong have lived in Mira Mesa for over 18 years. They spend their time with their two young children and their rescue dog Lucky.
